NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department says that a suspect was arrested following two armed robberies early Saturday morning.
The two robberies happened less than 15 minutes apart.
Police say the first robbery happened around 3:05 a.m. near the intersection of St. Charles Avenue and Union Street.
The victim told police that he was sleeping inside of his vehicle when an unknown black male knocked on his window. The suspect then demanded the victim's property. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene with the victim's wallet.
The second robbery happened less than a half a mile away in the 100 block of Dauphine Street.
According to police, the victim was approached by an unknown black male around 3:20 a.m. The suspect then pulled out a gun, demanded the victim's property and the victim complied. The suspect fled the scene with the victim's cell phone and $100.
The NOPD says the suspect, 21-year-old Lance Brock was later arrested by Louisiana State Police.
Brock has been booked into Orleans Parish Prison where he has been charged with two counts of armed robbery.
