JPSO: Argument at business results in shooting

JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a shooting at a local business that left one man injured. Officers were called to the scene Saturday at an oil change business located in the 3900 block of Airline Highway in Metairie.

Police say the victim, identified as 28-year-old Mark Duncan, was in line waiting to be served. He began complaining about the wait, before getting into an argument with another customer. The pair took the argument behind the business where Duncan allegedly punched the other customer.

As Duncan was walking back to his vehicle, he was allegedly shot in the leg by the other customer. He drove himself to a local hospital for treatment of the non-life threatening injury.

According to police, Duncan is not cooperating with detectives in the investigation, but detectives do know who is responsible for the shooting.
