(WVUE) - Rejoice fantasy football friends. It's the last of the bye week as we hit the home stretch, and it's an easy set of bye's to withstand. The Panthers, Jets, 49ers and Colts don't have a whole lot to offer consistently in terms of fantasy production outside of Cam Newton and Christian McCaffrey. But either way, there are some things to keep any eye on this morning.
Start: RB Tevin Coleman, Falcons
Due to a concussion, Atlanta's starting running back, Devonta Freeman, will be sidelined for Monday night's game against Seattle. Coleman, even in a hot and cold Falcons offense, is still a start. He can be explosive with the speed to go the distance any play. With his use in the passing game as well, the touches will be there. We just hope Coleman makes the most of them.
Start: RB Jamaal Williams, Packers
He was the top waiver wire pickup this week with fellow Green Bay running backs Ty Montgomery and Aaron Jones in question. Now we know that he will start against the Ravens. Once again, it's not a favorable matchup, but it's hard not to start him knowing how much the Packers rely on the run game without Aaron Rodgers.
Start: TE Vernon Davis, Washington
The Saints numbers against tight ends throughout their winning streak has been nothing short of remarkable. They've allowed them just 16 catches for 146 yards and three touchdowns over the last seven weeks COMBINED. However, there aren't many quarterbacks who find their tight ends like Kirk Cousins, and with starter Jordan Reed missing again, Davis could have another serviceable day.
Sit: RB Theo Riddick, Lions
In PPR leagues, he's had double-digit outings the last two weeks. However, Chicago's defense could bring that streak to a quick end in the windy city. With options like the aforementioned Jamaal Williams, or even Philadelphia's Jay Ajayi or LeGarrette Blount, there are better options if you're desperate for a running back to play.
Sit: RB Alfred Morris, Cowboys
The Eagles' front seven is no joke. They have absolutely stifled opposing rushing games, and even the Cowboys and their strong offensive line could be in for a tough day running. Philly's giving up an average of less than 67 yards per game, and they've only surrendered four touchdowns on the ground. Proceed with Morris in your starting lineup with caution. The Cowboys are probably prepared to air it out to keep pace with Carson Wentz.
Toss up: Packers wide receivers
Last week, I said sit Jordy Nelson, which was a good decision. I also loosely suggested sitting Davante Adams, which hopefully you didn't. But that said, they're a big gamble every week without Rodgers throwing the ball. Baltimore cornerback Jimmy Smith (questionable) will probably have either Adams or Nelson locked up today. The other could have a decent afternoon. But that's the risk you have to take.
