Under four minutes to go in the contest, all appeared lost for the Saints, trailing Washington 31-16. But a furious comeback, that involved 18-unanswered points by the Black and Gold, vaulted the squad to an eight-game winning streak.

Drew Brees connected with Josh Hill and Alvin Kamara in the fourth quarter on touchdowns, a two-point conversion, and a Wil Lutz 28-yard field goal in OT sealed the shocking comeback as the Saints won 34-31.

"Your season has all these steps to it. You hope you're on the better side of games like this. When you have wins like this, it's the number one thing you'll miss when your finished playing, or finish coaching," said Saints Head Coach Sean Payton. "The excitement of getting one you didn't think you were going to get. You can remember those, and you also remember the ones you didn't, you hope you get more of these."

The Saints (8-2) hit the road next week to meet up with the Los Angeles Rams (7-3).
