Homicide investigation underway in Marrero

MARRERO, LA (WVUE) -

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's office is investigating a homicide in Marrero Monday morning. 

Around 1:13 a.m. deputies responded to reports of shots fired near the 5400 block of West Bank Expressway and Saddler Road. 

When deputies arrived they found a man unconscious between two vehicles at 554 Saddler Road. 

According to Sheriff Joseph Lopinto, the victim was pronounced dead on scene from a gunshot wound. 

Deputies do not have  motive or suspect at this time, according to Lopinto.
