NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Warmer conditions will stick around through Thursday afternoon as high pressure builds in and surface winds remain southeasterly. Plan for a few more clouds around and an increase in humidity. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s.
Rain chances are low today and mostly coastal, but a few more showers are expected tomorrow when the front passes. Extremely heavy rain and severe weather are not expected. The front will bring a cool down, but don't expect it to be dramatic. Highs will likely still reach near the 70 degree mark on Friday afternoon.
Dry, sunny skies are expected through the weekend.
If there's no rain at the airport or even very little, this November will top the driest in recorded history with only .05 measured on November 9th.
