(WVUE) -

On the heels of being named Western Conference Player of the Week, Anthony Davis was ejected for the first time in his career Wednesday with the Pelicans trailing the Timberwolves by three points at the end of the second quarter.

Davis received his first technical foul after an offensive possession where he felt he should have been granted free throw attempts for contact by Minnesota big man Karl Anthony-Towns during a Davis shot attempt. On the ensuing defensive possession, Davis was called for contact with Anthony-Towns on a rebound attempt and immediately directed his frustration toward a referee. While being restrained by his teammates, including Rajon Rondo, Jrue Holiday and DeMarcus Cousins, Davis was sent off for the first time in his career. He threw his headband into the crowd while on the court and removed his jersey before reaching the tunnel.

Davis logged 17 points and five rebounds in his 17 minutes of play.

But after Sunday I was left with kind of a blah emotion. Their effort against the Jets was kind of weird. It certainly wasn’t an overly impressive victory to celebrate, but nonetheless, a win in the NFL by double digits is nothing they have to apologize for. Dodging a bullet may be the more accurate descript...

Welcome in to Juan's World and as you know, this blog that I do is strictly an opinion piece with a few facts sprinkled in here and there. So, with that in mind, I'm under the opinion that the Saints should've been 'expected' to look past the Jets to next weeks rematch with the Falcons. How could they not look ahead to Atlanta coming to the dome next Sunday. And before you go all 'One Game at a Time' on me, think for a second. You're supposed to beat the Jets, who came in 5-8 and wi...
