JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

A teacher at L.W. Ruppel Academy for Advanced Studies is accused of sending naked photos of herself to a 13-year-old student.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office booked Viridiana Ramos, 30, of Marrero, on Nov. 17 with indecent behavior with a juvenile.

The school’s website identifies Ramos as a band teacher.

The victim said Ramos started contacting him on Snapchat in October, the sheriff’s office said. The chats escaladed from regular conversation to nude pictures.

At least one other student saw the images, officers said.

Ramos was released from jail on Nov. 21 on a $5,000 bond

A Jefferson Parish Magistrate Commissioner said Ramos cannot contact the victim, issued a one-year protective order and suspended her from working at the five schools where she teaches.
