NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A New Orleans man pleaded guilty to murdering a witness in a federal case against a home invasion ring.
Gregory Denson was accused of killing Ellery Boyd to keep him talking to law enforcement.
He disposed of Boyd's body in the Industrial Canal in May of 2014.
Denson also pleaded guilty to seven other counts which included conspiracy, Hobbs act robberies and obstruction of official proceedings.
He had originally been charged along with eight co-conspirators who prosecutors say robbed known drug dealers in home invasions.
Denson could be sentenced to life in prison.
