SLIDELL, LA (WVUE) - A man accused of a head-on collision that killed a man, a woman and her unborn child has been identified.
Paul Fleming, 44, was charged in connection to the accident. A judge set Fleming's bond at $90,000.
According to police, just after 9 a.m. Saturday Fleming was traveling at a high rate of speed in the wrong direction on the Highway 11 Bridge.
Police said Fleming crashed into a Nissan Versa head on, crushing the victims inside. A man and a woman who was seven months pregnant died from their injuries. They have been identified as Son Hoang and Sophia Nguyen of Slidell.
Fleming was booked into the jail on two counts of negligent homicide and one count feticide.
According to court record, it is unclear if Fleming was impaired at the time of the wreck.
He was given a chemical test after the accident but the results have not been completed.
