If you are looking for Winter look no farther as a strong cold front is making its mark in Southeast Louisiana and South Mississippi. The cold snap will stick around through the rest of the week.
A series of upper-level disturbances will bring a cold rain Wednesday and Thursday. The rain will end on Friday morning. It's possible that some of the rain may mix with snow and sleet on the North Shore and across South Mississippi.
No major accumulations or travel problems are seen at this time.
Temperatures will remain in the 40s Wednesday through Friday. Sunshine returns for the weekend and highs will reach the upper 50s. It will turn even warmer on Monday before another strong cold front arrives on Tuesday bringing another chill down.
