West St. John beats Kentwood 20-14, takes Class 1A state title

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - It's been a long 13 years, but a state championship trophy is coming back to West St. John. The Rams beat Kentwood 20-14, capturing West St. John's fourth state title, and first since 2004.

Niko Roy, D'Kyri Jackson, and Covan Barnes all grabbed interceptions for the Rams. Barnes thievery turned into a 46-yard touchdown return.

Kylan Duhe scored two rushing touchdowns for WSJ, both from three yards out.
