MANDEVILLE, LA (WVUE) -

Two thieves who were caught on camera macing and stunning Victoria Secret employees during an armed robbery are being sought by Mandeville police.

The Mandeville Police Department said the armed robbery occurred Tuesday night at Victoria Secret in the Premier Shopping Center.

Store staff called 911 after five individuals stole stacks of merchandise valued in excess of $1,500.00, according to police.

Two of the thieves were armed; one with mace, and the other with a stun gun.

One of the suspects sprayed two of the employees with mace while a third employee was shocked with the stun gun.

The suspects fled the scene in what was described as a silver Honda sedan with a temporary license plate with unknown numbers attached, according to the report.

The suspects were described as standing between 5'5" and 5'10" in height. They are all believed to be in their 20's.

One of the subjects had red hair, another had a pony tail, a third one had a thick braid, and the shortest suspect had a blue baseball cap, according to the report.

“This is much more than a felony shoplifting. We are treating this as an armed robbery which carries a much stiffer penalty," said Police Chief Gerald Sticker. "Our detectives are actively working this case and we are asking anyone with information to call the Mandeville Police Department at (985) 626-9711.”
