NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - We'll see a mix of sun and clouds today as highs reach near-normal levels in the mid 60s. Clouds will be on the increase late today and tonight as a fairly strong cold front is expected tomorrow.
Lots of clouds and a few sprinkles are possible especially near the coast.
The combination of colder air and clouds during the day mean temperatures won't move much and afternoon temperatures could be in the upper 40s to low 50s.
By Saturday, a low pressure will form over Texas and move in our direction. That will keep clouds in the area and put temperatures back on the rise.
The disturbance is expected to reach us on Sunday with a good chance for rain and a few storms. While there is still some uncertainty with this system, it appears we could see wet weather lasting into early next week.
A stronger front should dry us out by midweek.
