Woman sought for robbing Slidell-area bank

SLIDELL, LA (WVUE) - Detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Department are working with FBI agents to track down a woman wanted for robbing a Slidell-area bank.

Deputies were called to the 1900 block of Gause Boulevard Saturday, just before noon.

According to police, the woman walked into the Chase Bank branch, said that she had a weapon and handed a teller a note, demanding cash. She ran from the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white female with dark-colored hair. She was wearing a black vest with a fur hood and a white and black scarf/poncho. She is 5'3" tall and weighs 160 pounds.

She was last seen heading towards Interstate 10, on foot.
