Father arrested in connection with terrorizing threats against New Orleans school

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The father of a 14-year-old boy accused of making terrorizing threats on Lusher Charter School grounds is now in custody.

The New Orleans Police Department says 52-year-old Arthur Johnston surrendered at the second district station on Monday.

He faces a charge of accessory after the fact for terrorizing.

Investigators say he prevented officers from arresting his son last week.

The boy was turned in by his mother and he is at the juvenile detention center.

Police say they also found drugs and weapons at the father's residence.
