NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - It is not even Christmas yet, but the city is already talking about carnival season.
The Krewe of Bacchus announced the celebrity who will reign over their 50th anniversary parade.
Academy award winner J.K. Simmons is Bacchus 50.
He has had a 40-year career in movies, television shows, Broadway and commercials.
Bacchus rolls Uptown on Sunday, Feb. 11, just two days before Mardi Gras.
It is one of the first super krewes to form in the city. This year, it has 1,600 members and 32 animated super-floats.
This year's parade will introduce crowds to the Baccaneer and Baccha Kong family super floats.
