NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

The kids at Andrew Wilson Charter School were pretty hyped Tuesday morning, and with good reason. Saints running back Alvin Kamara was in the house.

"He's an excellent guy. He's been supportive of our Inspire NOLA Charter Schools since he's been here. He's been motivating our students, and just being involved in the community for our students to do great things," said Jamar McNeely of Inspire NOLA.

Kamara has only been in the community a short period of time. Late July, when Saints training camp started. But the community has embraced him very quickly.

"I would definitely say it's different. Definitely different when you have a winning team. It's a lot of love. They love the Saints. I'm just out here, a small piece of it. I'm glad they're embracing me, allowing me to be here," said Kamara.

The kids here, and Saints fans everywhere are ready for Sunday. Kamara left the first meeting against the Falcons early with a concussion, and feels things need to be different this time around.

"You know it is, but it's the same amount of focus as the first time. We got business to handle, and we're going to handle or business. I wouldn't say it's any heightened emotions or anything. We know it's the most important game, because it's the next game. So we're going to handle that," said Kamara.

The Saints win Sunday, and in they're in the playoffs. No doubt, a great time to be donning the Black and Gold.

It's exciting, because at this point you control your destiny to punch a ticket. We got to keep striving and working hard to get where we want to get to," said Kamara.

The Saints and Falcons kickoff at noon on Sunday in the Superdome.

For tight end Ben Watson it's season #15. But he admitted he didn't know if he was going to get there. " I would say that at the end of last year I was very unsure if I was going to continue playing," Watson said." I knew that if I did play there only a very small number of places that I'd consider going.  One of those teams were the saints..because it was here where Watson had the best statistical season of his career in 2015... First-round draft pick Marcus Davenport missed almost three weeks of action during Saints training camp. This weekend, Davenport was back at practice, and all signs point to the rookie playing against the Chargers this Saturday. "The assignment, he'll know. He's been practicing in the meetings. It's just making sure he's 100 percent. But I anticipate that happening this week. I anticipate him being able to work this week and get some playing time," said Sean Payton. The Un...

Lowell Narcisse came out of St. James as a four-star quarterback, with a ton of potential. At LSU, he redshirted in 2017, and was ready to step up this season and finally get on the field. The Tigers put a package in for Narcisse that focused more on his running skills, but wouldn't exhibit his throwing prowess.
