Police: Two bank robberies in Slidell possibly linked, woman sought

SLIDELL, LA (WVUE) - A Slidell woman is being sought in connection to two North Shore bank robberies.

According to a news release issued by Slidell Police, they along with FBI are investigating a bank robbery that happened Wednesday night at the First Castle Credit Union on 1402 Gause Boulevard.

Shortly after 4:30 p.m. the female suspect entered the bank, handed the teller a note, and demanded cash, according to police.

The woman then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash towards the intersection of Rue Rochelle and Gause Boulevard, according to the report.

Investigators believe the suspect is the same person who robbed the Chase Bank on Gause over the weekend.

The woman is described to be a heavy-set white female wearing light colored tights, a black shirt, and a black "top hat."
