NOPD: Shots fired near high school in Gentilly

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police responded Monday to a report of gunfire near a high school in Gentilly. Officers were called to the scene at the Net Charter High School in the 6600 block of Franklin Avenue.

According to police, officers have arrested a juvenile who was found to be in possession of ammunition, as well as another student who tested positive for gunshot residue on his hands. Investigators say that a dark-colored pickup truck was in the area at the time of the shooting.

Police say that nobody was shot, but a 14-year-old boy suffered an abrasion on his elbow and is being treated at a local hospital.
