METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) - Early in his Rummel career it became very obvious Ja'Marr Chase was a special talent. Colleges across the country want the five-star recruit because he excels all over the field.
"Great team player. He was on special teams at times, helped us out there. He worked hard at practice. He's not one of those guys that got in the huddle and said 'I want the football.' He was just a good humble kid," said Rummel Head Coach Jay Roth.
Chase is down to three schools where he'll possibly attend this fall. Michigan, Auburn, and LSU.
"It's the home team. I grew up watching them. One of my favorite teams. Grew up in a house where my dad loves them. That's all I heard about growing up is LSU. It's a big part of the city, the state. It's a great place," said wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase.
LSU is right up the road, but he's not ruling out going up North.
"I always liked Michigan because Jabrill Peppers went there. A great school to play for, and a great coach (Jim Harbaugh) to play for. A great opportunity to play for him," said Chase.
Gillen: LSU, Auburn, and Michigan will all have to wait until National Signing Day. to find out where Chase will go. That takes place on February 7th.
