NOPD searching for runaway teen

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating a juvenile reported as a runaway.

On Monday the grandmother of Myrus Magee, 18, told police that Magee told her she planned to walk to a convenience store at the intersection of Mandeville and North Derbigny streets.

When Magee did not return several hours later, her grandmother entered Magee's bedroom and realized she had packed her belongings and fled, according to the report.

Police say Magee is a known runaway who has fled to Texas in the past.

Magee was last seen wearing a white shirt, khaki pants and a gold jacket.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Magee is asked to contact Fifth District detectives at 504-658-6060.
