(WVUE) - The Pelicans are five games above .500 for the first time all season thanks to a 101-96 victory Wednesday in Charlotte. Eight Pelicans scored at least 8 points but none got above 20 points.
Alvin Gentry's team showed no signs of fatigue from their double overtime outing Monday night as they jumped out to a 32-21 lead over the Hornets in the first quarter. While the lead evaporated in the second quarter and led to a back-and-forth affair the rest of the night, New Orleans pulled away late to secure their sixth win in their last seven outings.
They will look to extend their four-game home win streak on Friday at 7 p.m. when they host the Houston Rockets.
