GRETNA, LA (WVUE) - As the trial of a man accused of murdering a former NFL-player continues, the jury left the courthouse to review evidence at the crime lab Harvey.

Ronald Gasser is accused of shooting and killing Joe McKnight in a road rage incident on the Crescent City Connection in 2016.

Gasser claimed self defense, saying that McKnight lunged at him through his car.

Investigators said in court Wednesday that McKnight's body did not have gunpowder residue, which makes them question Gasser's recollection of the events.

Jurors started court Thursday with a trip to the crime lab in Harvey. They are reviewing Gasser's vehicle. Gasser was inside the car when he shot McKnight three times.
