NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department has made two arrests in connection to an attempted homicide in Little Woods.
On Wednesday NOPD officers were dispatched to the 20 block of Marywood Court around 7:15 p.m.
Detectives believe that Markee Edwards and Maurice Hicks met with the victim at this residence.
During the meeting, an argument ensued which escalated to Edwards allegedly shooting the victims six times, according to NOPD.
According to the report, Edwards and Hicks fled the scene in a stolen Nissan Rogue. The victim was transported to an area hospital with a police escort.
Officers were able to identify Edwards and Hicks as suspects. They were arrested in the 10100 block of Curran Boulevard.
Both Edwards and Hicks were arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for attempted second degree murder.
Edwards was additionally booked for illegal possession of a stolen firearm, while Hicks was additionally booked with illegal possession of a stolen vehicle and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
