HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - A 19-year-old Houma teen has been charged after police say he beat a 4-month-old.
According to the report, Houma police officers were dispatched to Terrebonne General Medical in reference to a child abuse case.
When officers arrived, they found a 4-month-old child with severe head injuries.
The investigation led officers to Takoda Naquin as a potential suspect.
Police said the child was in the custody of Naquin on Jackson Street while the mother was away.
According to the report, the child kept crying, which caused Naquin to lose his temper.
Naquin was taken into custody and charged with 2nd degree cruelty to a juvenile.
