NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Drivers may want to avoid heading to the West bank right now.
US 90 B West traffic is down to one lane at Lafayette on the West bank due to a broken down float.
Traffic delays have reached Stumpf Boulevard and commuters are being diverted off at Lafayette Street. For an alternate, commuters can use the Huey P. Long Bridge to get to the West bank.
Float movement is also causing congestion in the CBD. I-10 West is backed up to St. Bernard Avenue and I-10 East traffic delays are back to Metairie Road.
There is no set time on when float movement will be done but commuters should plan extra time to get through heavy delays.
