NOPD releases picture of 3 suspects wanted in connection with Mardi Gras double shooting

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department has released an image of three suspects wanted in connection with a double shooting on Mardi Gras day.

The three suspects in the image are believed to be involved in the February 13 shooting in the 700 block of Union Street.

According to police, a fight broke out between a group of people around 3:15 p.m. During the fight, someone fired a gun into the group striking two people.

One victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and the second victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Both victims were taken to a local hospital by EMS.

Detectives were later able to identify the three suspects in the image as the perpetrators in the incident.
