The 70-year-old man cleaning his vehicle outside his home in the 2900 block of Powhatan Street when the incident happened, according to the report.
The victim told police that three men, possibly between the ages of 18 and 20, initially approached him from behind and asked him for directions to Franklin Avenue and Gentilly Boulevard, according to the report..
The report said that one man who was described as heavy-set grabbed the elderly man and threw him on the ground. It was reported that the suspects fled in the man's car, which was a 2010 white Toyota Corolla.
