PEARL RIVER COUNTY, MS (WVUE) - The Pearl River County School District along with the sheriff's department is investigating a student who is accused of making a threat to students Tuesday.
According to a news release issued on the district's Facebook page, the threat made by the student was not viable.
The threat was reported to the Pearl River County Sheriff's Department, and the student was identified.
Alan Lumpkin, Superintendent of Education, also asked parents to take this time to speak to their kids about social media use.
The district asks that anyone with information on threats should report them immediately to the district at 601-798-7744.
