NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A recent report by the LA Times states that an actor in the popular series Breaking Bad was investigated by New Orleans police last year for sexual assault.
According to the report, Dean Norris was investigated after a woman said he sexually assaulted her. Prosecutors decided not to file charges, according to the article.
Ken Daley, spokesman for Orleans Parish District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro told the LA Times that detectives did not believe there was probable cause for an immediate arrest and requested a "non-arrest consult" with prosecutors late last year.
Daley told the LA Times that there wasn't enough evidence to merit prosecution.
The woman who alleged the assault told police and The Times that Norris had invited her and another woman to drinks at a bar after she asked him for a photo.
According to the report, she blacked out from excessive drinking and did not remember going to the actor's apartment, where she woke up the next morning undressed and disoriented.
She then alleged that Norris forced intercourse, despite her repeatedly telling him no and attempting to physically stop him, according to the report.
