LIVINGSTON PARISH (WVUE) -

An arrest has been made in connection to nearly two dozen vehicle burglaries in Livingston Parish.

According to Sheriff Jason Ard, deputies were dispatched to Fitzgerald Drive after multiple burglary complaints from several homeowners within the Acadiana Place Subdivision .

According to Ard, one complaint turned into 23.

Items stolen ranged from iPads, medication, tools, and laptops all from unlocked cars.

The suspect, Anthony Cameron, pulled on atleast 50 door handles and attempted to camouflage himself with a ski mask.

Detectives were able to use images from home surveillance systems and electronic tracking to stop Cameron and locate the stolen items.

'We know unlocked vehicles are a popular target.  Suspects are taking anything & everything they can get their hands on," said Ard.  "Make a habit of taking your valuables inside with you & locking your vehicles.  They don't care who you are or what you're going through - they are simply checking for easy access to free stuff.  So, lock it up, Livingston Parish."
