NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Blame smartphones for spoiling some of your fun.
Researchers studied hundreds of people at dinner. They asked some of them to keep their phones at the table. Others were asked to put away phones. Those who used phones during dinner enjoyed their time at the table less than those who didn't.
In another experiment, researchers surveyed 100 people multiple times a day over one week. They found participants got less pleasure from face-to-face socializing if they were texting, emailing or using their phones in some other way.
