LSP searching for armed and dangerous suspect after 2-month old girl found safe

NEW IBERIA, LA (WVUE) -

A statewide Amber Alert that was issued early Friday morning has been cancelled. 

At  2:54 a.m., Louisiana State Police canceled the Amber Alert for  2-month-old Amari Daniels. She has been found safe.

Authorities said the car she was in has also been recovered.

Police are still searching for the suspect Akeam Daniels. He is considered armed and dangerous.

LSP issued the Amber Alert following a homicide in New Iberia.

State Police believe Amari was abducted by 26-year-old Akeam. 

Akeam is wanted for questioning in connection to a fatal shooting that happened at the time of the abduction, according to LSP.

State Police believe Daniels is with two other men who have been identified as Isaiah Johnson Jr. aka Isaiah Cole and Avan Francisco aka Avan Cole.

They are all believed to be riding in a white 1979 two-door Cadillac with the Louisiana license plate 698BJX.

Akeam is described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5’10” tall and weighs about 155 pounds.

Amari is described as a black female with black hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 24” tall and weighs about 10 to 15 pounds.

Johnson is a 25-year-old black male with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5’9” and weighs about 170 pounds.

Francisco is a 31-year-old black male with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5’7” and weighs 145 pounds.

State Police ask that the public do not approach Akeam or his vehicle if they are spotted.
