ST. TAMMANY PARISH, LA (WVUE) - The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested two more students for posting threats via social media and text.
A 13-year-old Boyet Junior High School student was arrested Thursday (March 1) for terrorizing after fellow students saw a photo she posted on SnapChat referencing herself as a school shooter.
In a separate incident, a 14-year-old Lee Road Junior High School student was arrested Thursday (March 1) for terrorizing after he sent alarming text messages to a family member, referencing himself as a school shooter.
Both students were booked into the Florida Parishes Detention Center.
Both threats were investigated and neither was deemed credible. However, the the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office and the St. Tammany Parish Public School System said they will continue to take any and all threats seriously.
