NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Tulane was looking to avenge Friday's loss to visiting Cal-State Fullerton, but a late rally by the Titans gave them the lead and the Green Wave couldn't rebound, dropping their second-consecutive game 9-6, Saturday.

Tulane scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth to take a 6-5 lead, but a Fullerton four-run ninth gave the lead back to the visiting team, who shut the door on a Tulane comeback in the bottom half of the inning.

Matt Rowland led the Wave (5-4) going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI.

The Titans (3-7) were led by Ruben Cardenas and Jake Pevlitich, who each went 3-for-5 with an RBI.

Tulane and Fullerton will play the final game of their series Sunday at noon.
