STPSO: Bodies recovered in submerged car are those of missing St. Tammany friends

ST. TAMMANY PARISH, LA (WVUE) - The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office has recovered the bodies of two Pearl River friends missing since February, according to the coroner's office.

The bodies of Raegan Elizabeth Day and Dustin Hartline were recovered from a car found submerged in the area of the East Pearl River Boat Launch on Highway 90. The STPSO is investigating the case as a double homicide..

Day and Hartline were last seen leaving their home on Joe Moore Road in Pearl River at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 15. The pair were en route to a family member's home in Kenner, and from there were expected to head to the Baton Rouge area.

They never showed up at the family member's home.

They were driving Day's 2011 dark blue Chevrolet Camaro with Mississippi license plate PUH 722.

On its Facebook page, the Sheriff's Office posted the following:

Members of the STPSO dive team and detectives located a 2011 Chevrolet Camero with two bodies inside, believed to be those of Raegan Elizabeth Day and Dustin R. Hartline, the two friends reported missing from the Pearl River area since Feb. 15.
