(WVUE) - We head back to Louisiana roots for our No. four free agent target. Former LSU star cornerback Morris Claiborne had a slow start to his career, but has become a steady NFL corner.
After getting drafted sixth overall back in 2012, he spent the first five years of his career with the Cowboys, where he battled injuries and inconsistency.
He spent last season with the Jets. Where he appeared in 15 games, and had an interception.
The Saints can use some help at the position, and Claiborne can be an inexpensive option. At 28 years old he's hit that part of his career where he's not considered young, but also not considered old.
If he's available, and the price is right, The Saints should consider Claiborne.
