NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A strong cold front will arrive by Monday morning with breezy and sunny weather. Temperatures may struggle to get out of the 50s on Monday or briefly touch the lower 60s. The mornings will be cold with 30s on the North Shore and 40s in the metro area. Some patchy frost is possible later in the week or maybe even a light freeze in some cold spots north of the lake.
A big warm-up begins on Friday and temperatures will be near 80 by next weekend. Only a few stray showers are possible by the weekend otherwise it will be dry.
