NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police have arrested a 14-year-old who made school shooting threats on social media.

According to police, detectives were made aware of the threats which were made Friday on the campus of Dolores T. Aaron School in the 10200 block of Curran Road. The teen was identified the next day and arrested for terrorizing and disruption of the operation of a school and was transported to the Juvenile Justice Center.

Police add that officers were in contact with the school to make sure that no students were ever put in jeopardy during the threat.
