Most of the week brought us a beautiful stretch of sunny skies and dry weather, but of course just in time for the weekend rain chances increases. We started the day with a round of showers across the north shore and just a few sprinkles south. We will continue to see showers and even a thunderstorm or two into the afternoon.
Saturday will not be a total washout, but make sure you have your Fox 8 weather app ready to keep an eye on the rain while you are on the parade routes or otherwise enjoying the outdoors this weekend. We can expect some showers and a few storms both Saturday and Sunday as additional areas of low pressure will track near the area over the weekend. The highest chance for widespread rain and storms will remain well to our north. There will be many dry hours over the weekend but expect some rain and/or thunder from time to time.
A cold front arrives late Monday bringing sunny and dry weather for the rest of next week.
