(WVUE) - Former LSU Tiger Tyrann Mathieu will sign a one-year deal with the Texans according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The "Honey Badger" is signing a one-year, $7 million deal.
The Cardinals were looking to restructure $18 million of Mathieu contract, before it became guaranteed at the start of the league year on Wednesday afternoon. The St. Aug alum refused to take a pay cut.
Mathieu didn't miss a game last season for the first time in his career. He finished with two interceptions.
His new teammate JJ Watt was pretty excited about the Texans new addition.
