NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Cars parked in New Orleans may soon not get booted after one overdue ticket, but it comes at a cost to the city.

According to NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, a New Orleans City Councilman said the city would lose about $600,000 in annual parking ticket collection.

If the ordinance passes to limit the parking enforcement, cars would not be booted until three tickets are overdue.

Councilman Jared Brossett said he is confident he has the votes to pass the policy.
