NOPD and Tulane officials investigating Uptown carjacking

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Tulane Police along with the New Orleans Police Department are investigating an off-campus carjacking.

The incident happened Wednesday night around 10:50 p.m.

The victim told police that she was in her car at the intersection of Palmer and Willow when an unknown suspect armed with a handgun demanded she exit her vehicle.

According to the report, the victim complied and noticed a second suspect.

Both suspects fled in her car on Palmer in the direction of South Claiborne.

Police said the victim was unable to determine whether or not the first suspect was male or female, and could not provide a description of the second suspect.

According to the report, the first suspect was described as an African American with a dark complexion, around 19-years-old, standing at 5'10 and wearing a gray hoodie.

The stolen vehicle is a Gray Toyota Camry bearing Maine license plate #838AXE.
