(WVUE) -

Welcome in to Juan's World. I know the Pelicans aren't playing the best in the West right now, but Portland's pretty good, and the Pels have made them look pedestrian in this series.

As good as they were in the first two games in Portland, the Pelicans raised their game to another level in game three back in the Smoothie King Center. It was a level that the Trailblazers couldn't come close to reaching.

Everything the Pelicans did, worked. Everything they wanted, they took. Portland, down 0-2, was supposed to be the more desperate team. But they didn't look the part.

The Pelicans looked like a team that's not interested AT ALL in having this series go beyond four games. Anthony Davis, Jrue Holiday, Rajon Rondo, Nikola Mirotic. The list goes on and on of players that showed up for, and showed out in game three.

I'll be honest. I didn't see this coming. Not this type of performance from the Pels. Did I think they could win game three? Absolutely. But, with such dominance? Of course not.

But, it's good to know that this kind of performance is in them. Saturday afternoon, the Pelicans will go for the sweep, and they should get it unless they just take a night off.

After that, they'll welcome in the defending champion Golden State Warriors. It'll take a performance like tonight to win most nights against the Warriors. But, people counted the Pels out before the Portland series started. They'll do the same before the Warriors series begins. So let's tip it off and see what happens.

Juan's World, Juan's World...Excellent!!!

Alvin Kamara did it all last season for Sean Payton's offense, and that's why he's No. 2 on our ranking the Saints countdown. Kamara burst onto the scene, mesmerized saints fans, and the entire NFL with his unique running style. His stat line, amazing: 728 yards rushing, averaged over six yards per carry, with  eight touchdowns. He also added 81 catches with five touchdowns. All the while playing just 45 percent of the Saints offensive snaps. Kamara ran away with the NFL's Off...more>>
