NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Employees at a Gentilly Burger King were forced to the ground during an armed robbery Thursday night.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, two armed men entered the side of the restaurant located at 6300 Elysian Fields Ave.
One suspect grabbed an employee and made the others get on the floor.
The other suspect went to the back of the store with the manager and made her open the safe, according to NOPD.
The suspects fled with six register drawers containing cash.
According to NOPD Public Information Officer Gary Scheets, the police department believes this crime may be related to an armed robbery at Waffle House.
