PARADIS, LA -

A teen was killed and his mother and father were injured Sunday night in Paradis, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office.

The incident happened shortly after 6 p.m., when deputies responded to a 911 complaint of a shooting in the 100 block of Lynn Drive.

Deputies arrived on scene and found a deceased 15-year-old male inside of a mobile home. A second victim, the teen's 43-year-old mother, was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. She is in serious condition.

The father of the deceased, a 49-year-old male, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and taken into custody pending further investigation.

A 9-year-old girl, the daughter and sister of the victims, fled the scene during the incident and told neighbors about the shooting, leading to the 911 call.

The Sheriff's Office said there is no indication that anyone other that the immediate family were involved, and there is no threat of danger to anyone else in the area.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information concerning this incident should contact Detective Jenni Barrette by calling (985)783-1135 or contact (985)783-6807.
