NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A report of a domestic dispute at a home in Behrman Sunday night led to SWAT intervention, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Members of the Special Operations Division and Fourth District officers responded to the call in the 3600 block of West Homestead Drive.
The call was received around 10:42 p.m. The SWAT team was requested at 11:20 p.m.
A male subject, later identified as Alphonse Dukes, had barricaded himself inside of a home after the incident, according to NOPD.
A gunshot was fired inside the home, but no one was injured.
Dukes surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody around 2:30 a.m.
Dukes will be charged with one count of illegal discharge of a weapon, according to the NOPD.
