ST. CHARLES PARISH, LA (WVUE) - A father has been charged and accused of killing his own 15-year-old son, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office.
The incident happened shortly after 6 p.m. in Paradis when deputies responded to a 911 complaint of a shooting in the 100 block of Lynn Drive on Sunday.
Deputies arrived on scene and found the boy, Seth Veillion, shot to death. A second victim, the teen's 43-year-old mother, was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. She is in serious condition.
Ed Veillon, the suspect, was also injured but was later taken into custody, according to The St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office.
The father was charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
According to neighbors, gunshots were never heard. They were not alerted to the incident until the family's 9-year-old daughter was seen flagging down police in the street.
The sheriff said Veillon's wife is still in the hospital.
