NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans mayor is giving a sneak peek of the construction at the Louis Armstrong International Airport Wednesday.
Mayor Mitch Landrieu alongside the New Orleans Aviation Board will be previewing the progress so far on the new airport terminal. The viewing will begin at 4 p.m. and is part of the city's Tricentennial events.
According to the report, the 35 gate terminal will include new parking, shops, and restaurants.
The terminal is being constructed on the north side of the airport property.
The terminal has been under construction since January 2016. It is set to open in February of 2019.
The airport will also be a topic of discussion at the city's transportation committee meeting Wednesday, scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
